Is it $10 per class or $10 total? Same with the $3.42? Cause if they charge you $3.42 to register on line for EACH class you sign up for, but only one $10 fee then maybe it's cheaper if you are running multiple stuff?

Man southridge is changing alot with the way they charge. Soon they'll probably start charging spectators to watch or something. I guess its good though cuz the races seem to be slightly improving..

The entry form says "Onsite Fee $10.00 per application". I assume this is a one time fee for all the classes you sign up for.

The on-line registration fee is $3.42 per class entered. So, 2 classes would still save you money, but 3 would cost you more!!!

Your are correct, the $20 shuttle and $10 onsite fees are NBMS charges.

    Consider this:

    $60 to renew license (thank god I'm not a pro anymore...it would've been $150)

    $20 for shuttle

    $10 to register

    $45 for XC

    $45 for DH

    60 + 20 + 10 + 45 + 45 = $180 for one weekend!!

Um...yeah...looks like I'll just be racing XC and making it a relatively "cheap" $115. Ugh.

So confused... Justin is only running one, so I guess it'd be cheaper for us to just pay the extra fees and register today. He's angry at me, so never responded what I should do.

Justin... should I online register or do it the day of? :-k

When you consider that you have 3 days of practice it's no so bad. It's the same when you race at a Ski Resort with a lift. Gotta pay the gas bill somehow!!!! I think we're lucky that the prices haven't gone up in 6 years!!!!

    At least it's local. ;)

Just think if we had to drive/fly somewhere!!! Besides, it costs us $50 just to go to the movies. Just think I get to race 2 DH races and only have to give up 2 trips to the movies. :) If I wasn't racing, I would just spend the money on something else anyway.......

Such is the price of FUN!!!!

P.S. Remember, this is supposed to be FUN, that's why we do it. ;););)

Okay, here is the FINAL word on short track from Team Big Bear....(I should get paid for doing all this work)...

There is no open women's category. The only women's ST category is pro.

There WILL BE an expert men's short track. Tom said that he will be staging the expert men 19-29 and 30-39 with the Jr. Expert riders (times to be counted separately).

Still no sport or beginner men or expert, sport, beginner women.

True, you have 3 days of practice IF you can take weekdays off. If not, say hello to 2 HOURS of practice for expert DH.

That's, in my calculation, about $25 per run if I get two practice runs + a race run.

Pretty sure it's just sport XC for me.

Unfortunately, this is ALWAYS an issue with National races. We all know they cater to the "professional" racer who doesn't have to work and has endless income/support.

Thank goodness I have 5 weeks vacation per year and a boss who let's me take off anytime I want!!!!!

    Sport Women XC

Wow, I just checked the schedule, Sport Women (all age groups) is only 1 lap!!!!! Did anyone else see that????
