I'd definitely suggest bringing your own pedals for any demo you go to. The manufacturers typically don't have enough of the different kinds of pedals to take care of everybody. As for requirements for the demo: fill out waiver, driver's license, and a helmet and you should be all good. Oh ya... you'll need your legs and lungs, too

    See you out there :bang:

    Diamondback - Sortie's and Missions

    Giant - Trance X's and Reign X's

    Rocky Mountain - Element's, Slayer SXC's, Flow's, and Vertex's

    Yeti - 575's, ASR's, ASR Carbon's and a 303 and 4x will be on display

New, but not listed on the flier is Titus which will have Racer-X's, Motolite, & El Guapo

Just to clarify (because I heard otherwise from second-hand info), both rides (mtb and road) are on Sunday?

For the raffle, you don't have to be there to win (as long as you remember to put your name and phone number on the tickets) and we'll do it soon after the Poker Ride. You can get tickets for it at the shop or at the event. Totally up to you : )

And ya, both rides are going at the same time. The road ride is actually our Vitalyte rep's idea, and we loved it, so for those not interested in doing a Mountain bike ride, they'll be able to do the road ride and STILL have an entry in the poker competition. Can't wait to see everybody out there. The weather's supposed to be awesome.

Should also mention that we will be providing food for at least 100 people (that's how many people we had last year). I would suggest to everybody as well to bring some coolers with your favorite beverages. If we're lucky and we get everybody riled up enough, I'd love to make some pixie bike racing a regular part of the event. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend.

How family friendly is the event? I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old that I'd like to bring along, but I'm worried there might not be enough for them to do. Is the poker ride trail doable with a trailer?

The event itself is very family friendly, but the ride will be a cross between beginner and intermediate level depending on sections. There will be quite a bit of singletrack that'll make navigating a trailer a bit difficult/impossible and at the very least super bumpy and uncomfortable for the little ones. However, we did have quite a few munchkins finish the ride on their own bikes. It'll be somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 to 10 miles.

As far as what you put in your camelbak, if it's in there it's your own beverage... Not sure how it'll do with all the sloshing around in there, though :p

I'd recommend that everybody be there before hand to register for the event (registration is for all the legal mumbo jumbo. there is still no cost for the poker ride) We'll be accepting people for the Poker ride up to 9:45, but we'll be there until 4 regardless... Come out whenever you can.

Here's a map of the course for anybody interested (please note the disclaimer on the bottom left of the image):
