Saw this ad for a 2007 Yeti 575 ASR on CraigsList for 1200 bucks COMPLETE!! Not my size - Medium - but this almost looks too good to be true. Said it was purchased at Adrenaline. Anybody familiar with this bike?

ask him questions that only a high end bike owner would know about his/her bike, what the ETT is, does he have the receipt, how the brakes handle, did he build it him/herself, stuff that only a person who would drop K's would be into, and do it all chilax and pleasant, as if you just want to know...a guy who robbed someone to sell a high end bike is not gonna want to talk about bikes in that manner.

The 575 is welded in Taiwan at a small factory. The 303, dirt jumper, and I think one more of the frames are welded in Colorado.

The build sounds like the lowest kit offered from Yeti, but with some upgrades? The Juicy 3 brakes came on the lowest kit, for example. If so, then the bike might have been around 2K.

I guess we are used to people selling used bikes at way inflated prices. This seems like a reasonable price for a used bike.

The bike is pretty similar to mine. The only upgrade he has that is significant over the base package is the Float fork (stock is Vanilla). Oh yeah, and some rear shock called an RP32? MSRP is around $2,600 for the kit, but most sell for around $2,100-$2,300?

With the new model out now, maybe they've dropped in value?

If new price is just a hair over $2k, then $1200 looks like the right price used. They drop in value because used bikes aren't comparable to new bikes in price, but somehow people think they can sell their used bikes for new prices. Bah.

That's what I was thinking too. Maybe dude just needs the cash?

I had a bike for sale for months at a price I knew was too high. I decided to not sell it and sell another bike instead. I listed it for $1300 when I thought it was worth more like $1800 and it sold in 1 day.

Not a bad way to go when you really want to sell something.
