Rode Exploration Trail to Rim and back yesterday. I was watching some folks laying the course out. Damn, that water in the reserve lake is COLD!!!!
By reserve lake, do you mean the one northeast of the Childrens Forest? I usually go for a swim there after climbing up Exploration. And yes, it is cold in the middle. The shallows are in the low 70's but if you hang out there for any length of time, you'll have catfish nibbling you toes. The tri race sounds fun but I hate running.
Zippy and Luke are you going? I am undecided...probably not I have done it before, the first year as a matter of fact, it was fun but they way miss-judged the run...it was too long/hard/steep (really they actually apologized for it). The run is changed from that year. Oh great are you saying Conrad is going to be there? He flew past me soo fast at Temecula I thought I was seeing things. It is a fun course race...hmmmm....maybe I should show up!
That's the one. I was over by the dam side. I was thinking of watching from the top of the Children's Forest - a "thank goodness I'm not doin' that" sort of thing. Greg
