    OK so the album is up and ready to go! Try and use the album for all new pictures, although it's not 'required.' Upload them and on the photo page, it'll give you something like this . . .
    Code:
    [albumimg]224[/albumimg]
    Copy and paste that code into your post and it'll show a thumbnail of the picture that other people can then click to go to the full picture in the album. This is good for a few reasons . . .
    * threads download quicker - good for our dial up friends
    * takes you to the album which will (hopefully) get people to start rating and commenting photos
    * makes sure that the album is full of all our awesome photos!

    Example of using the bbcode . . .

    [albumimg:e5fd8edf20]224[/albumimg:e5fd8edf20]

    Let me know if you have any questions. Please look around the new album, many new features.

    Some new features include:
    * slide show
    * download categories of photos in a .zip file
    * upload multiple photos at once
    * more . . .

    As always, feel free to let me know of any bugs or concerns. PM me, post here, or fill out the general comment/question form here.

    Oh . . . one question that I have for YOU - Do you guys want mid-thumbnails or no? Like if you click on a little thumbnail, right now it takes you to a 'mid-thumbnail' which is 600x400 max. Then you have to click on the mid-thumbnail to get the bigger version.
    pros: better for dial up users, better for slide show so the pics in the slide show are almost the same size and don't go off the screen
    cons: more clicking and hassle

    It would be cool not to have to resize photos before uploading. AOL Pictures has a feature that resizes as you upload. Not sure if you can get something like that, but it is really convenient.

    So I found a bug . . . happens when you try to add a comment. Should be fixed within a day.

    Pete . . . that's a good idea, I'll see if that's possible!

    EDIT: One simple (sorta) MySql query and the comment system is working nicely! Quick research found no easy way to automatically resize pictures upon upload though . . . .

    Is this still the preferred way to embed photos in a post?

    What is after the ":" in your example.

    Here's a simple try ---

    405 under the fog
