The Orange County Wheelmen Board of Directors appointed a new committee to promote bicycle safety. Michelle Kashima ([email protected]) was named chair of the "OCW Share the Road" committee. Through Michelle's efforts our club is in the process of communicating with our state politicians and Department of Motor Vehicles to create a "Share the Road" license plate in California, such as the one that has been proposed in the state of Colorado. [Shown at: www.bicyclecolorado.org]. Each special license plate sold would provide funding to support the Share the Road Education Fund in making roads safer in California.

I hate riding in a nice bike lane and then all of a sudden it ends. I think that when they built the roads, if they had a bike lane then they should have kept it going somewhere because when they just end you are stuck fighting traffic. I usually just take the whole lane once the bike lane ends

Looks like the link is down to the Colorado site. Maybe the server is under 4 feet of snow or when snowboarding. :)
