Why does my avatar upload keep failing?

    From SoCal/OC. Been living in Boise.
    Saved it as 80x80 pixels and still got error message upload of file failed. it is a jpeg and wasn't open when I uploaded it....

    nver mind it uploaded, but too small for a good pic. thus is the definition "avatar" i spose..........

    How? i get them down to 80x80 but when i upload them the "movement" stops and it freezes on one frame
