Need two sets of BMX wheels built for my 9 Expert son. One 20" set and one 24" set. We have always used pre-built wheels but now we have hubs and wheels from a sponsor but lacing/truing/getting the correct spokes is a little (a lot?) beyond my mechanical depth! Can you guys offer any suggestions? Thanks for the help!

I know it's not South County but I think he's worth a trip up to the North County, Ethan at Fullerton bikes does awesome work. Check his Instagram for some examples. http://instagram.com/handbuiltwheels

+1 for Cory at OC Bike garage. He has experience with all types, including BMX - just build a set for me 2 weeks ago. I bought the hubs, he brought all the other parts together - got a great deal!

Fullerton and The Path have great builders too (and Larry at Ghishallo here on STR).

The Flows that Rabie at the Path built up for me have been unstoppable. He just looked them over the other day, no need to do anything to them. They are on their second bike now.

    Thanks, Rabie.

Anybody that says a name other than "Juan" simply doesn't know. Not sure where that dude is these days, but there is no better and that's just all there is too it. (Was at Irvine Bike Source back in the day and is still around somewhere)

    Correct!

Juan is the man and built up a set of carbon wheels for me two years ago. They have never needed to be trued.

    Here is his shop

another vote for Juan @ cyclepro. Great guy, and both sets of wheels he's built me have performed perfectly with no need for truing after seveal thousand miles.

So stoked. I'm going in to say hey. Considering having a new set built just to have for the future.

Hope pro 2 Evo on Mavics?

    Hmmmm. That or kings.
