So, that was awesome! I beat my target 5:45 with a respectable 5:38. CC

Although I've only done 2, this one felt good. The finish line at the Parkers is great. BIG thanks to them!

And thanks to all that supported, promoted and raced. Good job everyone.

Just met my goal of sub 7hr. Finished at 6:58 for VQ. Did Tinker win? I saw him pass me first as I was going up Trabuco.

The board said Tinker was 1st with a sub 4:57 IIRC.

I made the cutoffs and finished my first Counting Coup. It was slow, I was one of the last to finish and some VQers finished before me but I met my goal--finishing the ride. Warrior's Society does a great job.

I've heard they are sending out a search party for him! I hope he's wearing his "Great Pumpkin" outfit!

I heard Tinker made it to the bottom of motorway in 90 minutes, what a freak.

I wanted sub 7 for the CC, did 7 and 1/2. Just stoked to be a part of such a fun event. I had very limited time on the bike prior to the event. So I concentrated on riding smarter, not harder. dialed in my nutrition, and made sure to bring an ipod to keep old, dumb, brain busy. No cramps this year, and I smiled damn near the whole time.

Thanks to the warriors, sponsors, and volunteers who make the Pow Wow such a cool event.

The whole thing is now just a blur. Anyone making a video from the race? I'd like to be able to remember it.

Congrats to all the riders.....and to those that gave it their all and stepped out of their comfort zones.

My hat is off to all for trying.

Congrats to all you crazy Mo-fos who attempted this ride and perhaps achieved some personal goals. As for Tinker, I did a beginner class xc race in Winter Park CO in 1992. After my "race," my wife and I watched Tinker, Rishi, Ranjeet, Julie, John, Ned and others climb from the base. Tinker was in the big ring (I believe he was on a Klein at the time). I've never seen anything like it, climbing in his big ring on a climb I would have struggled with in a 22-32 combo. Oh yeah, starting at 9000' of altitude. Ned had the lungs, but Tinker had the legs. Glad to hear he is still a freak! Oh - and I believe I beat one person in my class that day! End of xc racing career.

Here's to suffering for no apparent reason!

That was my first and my last CC. I enjoyed every minute of it and I finished strong in addition to my projected time 8 hrs. I stayed in granny pretty much the entire ride...lol.

I love you Warriors, thanks for the memories!!

Good job everyone who rode. The Pow Wow is a great event! RP you're a stud with your 6:58! At least you all showed up. After a long list of excuses, mostly lame ones, I bailed out. Finishing VQ will nag at me until I show up and do it!

I saw FAD and since he was wearing Lycra I decided to spare everyones eyes and didn't take any pix.

Congrats to all the finishers, even though I didn't ride I was able to spectate and as much as I hate to admit it I actually miss the Santa Ana mountains.#-o

This was my first Vision Quest and my first Pow Wow. Great race, great support, and a great overall vibe. I was never so happy to get a feather before in my life. Thanks to the Warriors and all involved for putting on a great race, and look forward to next year.

It was quite a site seeing all those lights headed up Blackstar this morning...great times.

I'm confused. What's the difference between POW WOW and VQ?
