    Lets see.....

    Lance Armstrong
    Ivan Basso
    Floyd Landis
    Tyler Hamilton

    .. and, of course,

Levi, George, Christian and the rest of the "younger" generation.

Yep. Will be a very good race!

Will catch the finish of the next to the last stage at the Rose Bowl live.

I'm planning on going up Mt. Palomar to watch the stage live ... (and be humbled by comparing elapsed times). Can't wait!

I'd like to do Balcolm cyn again. That was insane when I was there 2 years ago. I'd also like to see them cross the GG bridge but I'd like to be in a helicopter when they do! I also hope to be at Solvang!

In case you don't know, this year there is no stage from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita. Hence, no Balcolm Canyon...

I hope the weather cooperates and I have the desire to pedal up to Mill Creek Summit to watch.

I am working with some contacts I have to get a prime volunteering position for the Pasadena stage. I have requested to be a Male Escort. Yep that's right, MTBMaven...Male Escort. I understand the responsibilities include escorting rides to the medical area for drug testing. I hope I don't have to hold anything. I should find out in the next few days if I can get this assignment.

my mom got the hookup on the team introduction banquet the thursday before the race...hopefully i can get a camera in a snap a few photos. the fiance and myself will be staying up in sac for the weekend to check out the prologue and stage 1 start/finish.

caught the prologue in sf a couple of years ago and it was sick...nothing like hearing those disc wheels come screamin' at you at 30+ mph.

I gots me some VIP passes for Pasadena and Escondido. I'm also going to Solvang which is the best place to literally rub elbows with the pros. If anyone wants to meet me there, I can get ya free tastings at 2 wineries right on the finish line.

I've caught at least two stages each year. Last year, I went up to Solvang to watch the time trial and it was well worth the trip.

If you haven't been, the TT in Solvang is a great stage to see live. Since they cut them loose one at a time, you have a chance to see and photograph pretty much all of the riders and more.

You never know who you'll bump into...

I'm hoping to get up to Solvang again this year.

They'll be leaving from Santa Clarita (where I live) on Saturday, but I'd rather watch them finish than start.

I submitted two ride reports on Road Bike Review that won "Review of the Day" awards and I was sent to official AToC jerseys of my choice for my efforts :bang:

Palomar or Bust! I just can't decide if I want to see them grind it out going up or flying down the other side???

Well, since you get one shot at seeing them, I think I'd go for somewhere near the top of the climb where they won't blow by in the blink of an eye. They'll be going much slower and IMHO the pics you can take (if you're into that) will show more of the strain. Not to mention there will likely be quite a throng there to make sure it's a party atmosphere.

I am leaning towards the climb, but I love taking photos of things at speed as well. I love the look of a rider at speed using a slow shutter speed and panning. Everything out of focus except most of him and the frame...
