Bug This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view

    I got this from Eric B this morning and thought I would create a thread since several other members have reported the same problem.

    When I try to click on "My Profile" up in the righthand corner I get the following message

    "This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view."

    Do you happen to know what that means? And how to fix it?

    Seems that anyone with a character in the their screen name will get that message. Periods, dashes, commas.., etc.

    Eric B. has a "period" at the end of his SN

    The only one that is ok are _ like in     SAR_boats

    or J_Sims

    Yeah, I noticed this on jeff^d's account a while ago, and mentioned it to him. We both rubbed our chins over it. The special character thing makes sense. Maybe Geo can fix it?...

    He's working on it and said he saw a couple things on vbulletin.com about it but there are several possible causes.

    Likely to be related to the recent version upgrade that was done.

    i have the same problem, looked everywhere for a place to register. even sent msg to site admin. this was weeks ago, got no reply

    Disabled url rewriting for members pages (which fixes the issue) until I know what exactly was causing it.
