Hello kids! Today we are going to learn how to service the Zokes 55 Microswitch TA fork.

Servicing the Travel Adjust cartridge https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

This procedure requires the use of special tools, specifically a compensator rod and a bleed fitting. A compensator rod can be fabricated simply with a length of M6 threaded rod. About 6 bucks from the nearest Lowes.

For the bleed fitting, you can order an M5 hose tail and match it with an appropriate syringe, like so

Damper service will require the use of soft jaws if you need to change the o-rings. Bleeding the damper is straight forward. No need for the soft jaws, just a vice and some basic tool. Oil is the standard Zokes oil, Spectro Gold 7.5 wt. Oil levels are available at http://www.marzocchi.com/Template/contenuto.asp?idC=1561&IdFolder=777

Am I not the only one in three counties actually running this fork regularly? I pay BikeCo or take it to Marz for service. I will not attempt servicing my own suspension parts. I am the guy who would have leftover parts when done. Thanks for the how to - and the offer to do it for me. If you lived nearby, perhaps.

    Great fork though!

I think of it like cooking. The food I make never tastes the same as it should. Therefore, the parts I service will never feel the same. :(
