While on my way to go mountain biking this morning, I came across this about a mile from my house: Sean Severson was struck Thursday morning and passed Friday afternoon. He would have turned 16 on Tuesday. Sad...everyone stay safe out there. http://fountainvalley.patch.com/gro...ke-hit-by-car-clings-to-life#comment-41380623 http://fountainvalley.patch.com/gro...on-bike-struck-by-car-in-fountian-valley-dies
Sad news to hear. RIP to the fallen cyclist. Dear motorist.
Another sad loss and my condolences to his family and friends. These types of threads normally pop up when someone is killed, but watching the CHP's live traffic information page lately there are many, many more cyclist-vehicle collisions and injuries that don't make the news. Everyone needs to be safe out there and do their best not to become a statistic.
I also attended FVHS , and this happened right by my friends house. First thing I did was call him when I saw this on the patch. Rip
I'm sorry to hear that you're personally connected to this loss. I have seen people stop by Sean's ghost bike to either remember him or place flowers everyday this week as I've passed by.
Have been reading up about Sean and seeing all the comments made by friends and family. He seemed like a real good-hearted kid. The more I find out about who Sean is, the more tragic and sad it seems and I kind of tear up a bit. He was someone's nephew and Sean could easily be one of my nephews who he reminds me greatly.
