Yep Tahoe has the goods. Your route will wet your interest but believe it or not there is better rides in the Tahoe basin. Some with nearly as nice of views as the Flume Trail. I hope you have about 2 weeks to explore Tahoe because you will need it.

I have done that route three times. Great route. A new favorite I did on my last trip . . . Kingsbury. I'll be hitting up Tahoe again later this summer. Need to find a new trail or two to try.

@jasonmason: I hiked the singletrack that goes all around the lake. 8 miles or so. Is that the same trail? A bit of a pain getting to from Lincoln, but my dad and made the trip one day last year.

Nope, there's another trail about 1/2 mile up the road from there that makes for another 8ish mile loop. Fun to tie the 2 of them together (trail 8 + the jenkinson lake loop) and then jump in the lake. You'd dig it on your el mar. Shoot me a pm, I'll make sure you have directions for it when you come up this summer.

Sorry scan, didn't mean to hijack your thread! Your RR was rad, I can't wait to get some summer Tahoe riding in.
