Lol. I actually 'officially' started another round of p90x a week and a half ago and adding in 4 mile runs every other day. Taking progress pics after the first month. But, I've been sending Pain Freak progress pics every week. Didn't he tell you?

Unless you are paying for your STR visits, or paid the people who upgraded, rebuilt the site, and keep the site running for your enjoyment, stop with the complaints and just enjoy your free visits.

And if the change is really that unbearable, turn off your computer and go ride.

    :)

    I love the new site!

The only thing I miss is the "Threads I've posted on" column where you can monitor the posts that you've made. Now I write something and it's hard to keep track of. Other than that, it's sweet.

It just takes time to get used to the changes. I like the changes and don't have a problem navigating through the site. All of the information that I need is always here if not I post a question. That said, I don't know if its just me, but it seems that lots of folks bailed on the site. Maybe people are on vacation or riding more since we're in the middle of the summer. :?:

Interesting... I never visit the front page.
All the action is in the forums so I go directly to trailhead.

BTW, I don't find the new site offensive.
As a former webmaster I understand that every little hack and add-on causes great grief when upgrading... and not upgrading contributes to things like our little incident of late.

I for one don't go on STR for how cool it looks. More for the cool friends and riders I have met because of it.

The look of the old version was cleaner and simpler. What I really liked about that layout was that it looked slicker and more minimalist than any other forum I'd seen. Usually they looked like... well, this one. Lots of wasted space and gobbledygook everywhere. Also, having the most recent threads pop up and a window of the ones you replied to last were the two handiest things that made actual discussion possible, instead of firing off posts and losing track of them.

That said, I like that this new site actually works, and isn't screwed up. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do.

some of you crack me up. the same types that if anybody has constructive criticism about the U.S., says "love or it leave it." or something stupid to that effect. just because you think some things can be improved or a different way may be better shouldn't mean that you get blasted with, "well why don't you leave then?" what kind of community is that? responses like that are just stupid.

Unlike the the population of the U.S. with it's share of angry fanatics who don't want to get along with anyone, I think the users of STR can find at least one point upon which we can all agree: The earlier software, with its vulnerability to exploits which exposed users to malware, caused a lot of problems for a lot of people. It's a GOOD thing that STR is now running more robust software.

Really? Another thread about this? Shouldn't we all be riding instead of complaining about everything? Get on your bike and roll it!

I'm just glad the site is fixed. I'm thankful there is a Southern California site. Although I haven't really ridden with anyone here, I enjoy the site immensely and would like to ride with some people if I can. Thanks for fixing it from the malware. I don't care about changes or layout or any of that, I still like the site.

Like a breath of fresh air. Good to see a thread like this resurrected to add a positive statement.

    Thanks, SeanC.
