Quite the turnout considering, but we will do a couple swap meets to met the need. We talked abut having a Pre-Christmas, sometime after Thanksgiving and then again after New Year.

Let's have another one in a few weeks.

I live 5 miles from the court house and it was raining ash. Didn't think people would show up but guess I was wrong.

I had been looking forward to the sale, but with the ash and road closures, I figured seller turn-out would be low.

I was looking forward to spending some $$

A little past noon, the wind changed again, directing most of the smoke and ash a bit north of the area, so I loaded up a few items and went over there.

I was happy that I did sell and give away some stuff. Granted, most of the stuff I sold I practically gave away. I wanted to head down to The Path and spend some of my loot, but I got sidetracked getting my hair cut. I'm sure glad that Bryguy said there were some people there!

I sold a few things and bought a few things. It was fun just hanging out with the STR crowd in general! Too bad about the air quality, it would've been fun to get in a ride around the Fully Loop. Its been years since I've ridden it...

Lunch at Roscoe's was a nice way to end the day.

I wondered if anyone did any comments post swap but have not had my computer up due to moving and many issues with it (bad hardware/drivers). I for one scored at this shindig Got some carbon riser bars for $20, a bitchin Vision Long board that was straight outta 88 (slime ball wheels even!!), blue grips, a rim brake wheel set, and some tires (thanks Jason!!). The best part of the whole day is the community that makes STR what it is, hey we might not always see eye to eye on the forums but you would have to go to Alaska to find a cooler crowd to chill with. With a permeating "mesiqute" flavor all around we skipped on tailgating BBQ's though next time I am bringing some Brats and portable Q's. Some of the truly awsome folks that turned up even rode the loop, and realy with the calm wind in the A.M. it was no big deal but still pretty burly. Big props to our Mayor just for showing up, my condolences. By then end of the day all the best deals had flown and we were all covered in a nice dusting of ash from the winds kicking up, but overall can't think of a better way or crowd to have spent my down time with.

Great deal guys, this was my first str swap meet also, i only bought stuff, I dont have anything to sell yet. I got some xtr v brakes that feel like day and night compared to the now retired avid single digits. Can't beat the prices, and it was cool to put some avatars to faces, lol.

    Thanks.

Oh, and btw, if nobody bought that trial bike, i want it. I didnt have the cash on me that day. If anyone knows who was selling it, or whether or not it sold, hit me up, please.
