If you are going to do both, I'd say maybe stick with beginner so you've got something left for Super D as well! That way you can finish, hydrate and eat something small, stretch, and re-warm up ;)

Rode the XC course this morning. Ground is awesome and the new singletrack and reroutes are awesome!!

Just got done walking the DH course. Some new lines, some old ones. They did some repair and fill-ins, corse is in good shape.

    See you all tomorrow!

So Denmother, what did you think of the short stretch before the culvert I warned you guys about this morning?

Sounds killer. I just loaded my truck and am ready to go. The only bad news is that the rear brake on the new FSR is not grabbing at all. I loaded it up anyways along with the Heckler but since I have like ZERO mech skills it looks like I'll be riding the Heckler. (I have some brake on the FSR but the lever is touching the grip...it worked just fine in the parking lot!!!) boohoo for me. Oh well there is always the next race or the next ride! I doubt a different bike is going to really help me all that much. ;)

    DH course

It's all the same course for everyone, too. Lower garden cuts left and around rather than straight through. Rocky somewhat flat some turns none of the waterfalls. Think you'll all have fun. Was out with Gil Caz, Joe and 2wheelLEE with some STR sightings.. They added quite a few things to the lower section of the 4x track. Will make for some fun/interesting racing. See you all out there don't forget those shooting to check for a final list on here tomorrow night. (I did update the last one post #317)

I was right behind Denmother when she rode this section......she cleaned the whole section very nicely and in total control......she made it look so easy but she IS a downhiller....

For the DH course, is this a big bike deal? I'm thinking of seeing how the RFX handles it. What do you think?

    Thanks

If they are hydraulic brakes (not mechanical) then you'll need to have the fittings checked and have the brakes re-bled.

Justin can look at it in the morning if you are there early.

They are Hydraulic and I was wondering if they would need to be bled but was not confident enough in my knowledge to post it. I'll look for you guys (I'll be in a gray Xterra wearing a black long sleeved jersey with red strip. I'll probably look a bit lost since I'll not know a soul face to face! #-o

Throw a chain guide and maybe different tires on that bike, and you can also race DH with it. ;)
