I think you might be a little old but don't quote me on that.

I have been watching this thread and wondering if I try and do a race their do I need a downhill bike? I currently own a 2005 Turner six pack with a Van 36 RC2 and hope M6. Would this be sufficient? Thanks!

that's probably an ideal bike for fontana in many regards. I race a giant Reign X which is very similar, and do well enough by myself.

granted, in the rocks there are a few 'fastest' lines that you might need to skip due to lack of travel, but it's a matter of a fraction of a second. that is EASILY made up by pedaling the wall a bit harder (which is facilitated by the smaller bike).

I say do it, go nuts, and let us know how it goes :bang:

yeah, if I had a tandem reignX, imagine how much power I'd have for the wall! Eric Carter would have nothing on us!

anybody got a ventana el conquistador de la montana with a 888 and wanna be a motor for a DH race? might need a custom bash guard to keep from snapping chains when you high-center through the rock gardens though :-k:lol:
