Merged your post with an existing one of SART. Read the post prior to yours and you'll get a good idea of the conditions there as of 4 days ago.

More detailed info regarding SART conditions. There are three trees blocking the trail on the Post Office Loop. All of them are on the last 3/4 mile section that leads to MC road and after crossing the exposed/rocky ledge of death. Because of their location, they do not affect the flowiness of this section of trail...but would be nice to have them cleared.

There is one tree down between Middle Control road and Glass road. From Glass Road to S. Fork there are two trees down as of last weekend.

The tree blocking Old Hwy 38 from Loch Leven up to the Post Office has been cleared as of last weekend.

fyi: They are also going to have controlled burns beginning today to clear brush on the upper part of SART..last weekend hoses were already laid out and brush was put into piles......hopefully they'll clear the trees while they are at it....the burns are supposed to last one week....

According to a buddy who rode SART Post Office/Store loop on 4/08 the trees have been cleared on this particular section.

We did sart today from glass rd up to post office then down to the lower section... Back to glass rd. 27 miles of greatness. This is the best trail in so cal IMO. We passed all the clean up crew with vacuum trucks cleaning the stream area. We also crossed, the stream that was contaminated. They have placed paper towel looking sheets all throughout the stream to mop up fuel. No one said anything to us we had an awesome day!

I am trying to find some information on the upper SART conditions from Harts Bar to South Fork CG? Has anyone been on this section lately? Everthing I can find only talks about below South Fork. I want to ride from Big Bear on Wildhorse Trail to Harts Bar and then all the way down SART. If anyone has any information on conditions or a GPS track that would be much appreciated!

Anybody knows what the current conditions are? I know it snowed there last week, but was it enough to cover the trails?
I wanted to get up there in the next couple of weeks, but not sure what the trail looks like at the moment...

    Tomorrow will be nice, enjoy.

Riding it right now. 65 degrees with almost no bugs. Only 2 small trees that are hopped with little effort. A few spots with crunchy snow and about 50/50 damp/ hardpack with great traction even in the spots covered with leaves. I'm so glad i made this ride. :)

Ride done. PO loop to Glass Rd. Trail was awesome. I almost felt like i knew how to ride a mountain bike with how much traction there was. WooHoo!
