if it's like the rest of the series, it should just be whatever your winter series number is. should be on a yellow plate, though, otherwise they get uppity for some reason.

Why don't you race expert if you don't like the sport course?

The California Golden State Mountain Bike Championships are coming up quick September 4-6, 2009. During this event, approximately 73% of bike park trails will remain open including bike park fan favorites Downtown, Paper Route, Off The Top, Brake Through, Seven Bridges, Chain Smoke, Twilight Zone and DC-10.

Is anyone coming up from orange county Late tomorrow of friday morning?

I was supposed to have a wheel built at The Path finished today but it hadn;t even been started yet. I got a loaner but come home and it has several loose spokes and the rotor bolts were torqued tight and loc-tited. Can't get them loose with out striping.

Need one of two things from my helpful friends

1: Pick up my wheel and bring it with you. I should be able to get them to float me until Tuesday. And you will be rewared with beer or cash if you so choose.

2: Have a 135 spaced wheel with a 12mm thru axel hub. and either no rotor or one that we can get off.

I'll be up late tonight and early into the morning if you have anything I can use I'll be up really early tomorrow and will be back here checking all night.

    Thanks,
    Dave

yeah, I'm in limbo for classes. I'm a good rider, but a relatively poor racer. I'll move up when the time is right. for now, I'll see what happens now, in november, and possibly the 1st winter series race before I decide where to go.

Plus, I'd like to stay in the proper class for other areas. As sad as it sounds, I'm a LOW level sport rider in most other places in the state/country.

    but enough defending myself,

I too would like to know what the course looks like above McCoy station. good to see my inclinations were incorrect about the sport/beg course being super lame too.

Bryan, you're not far off from being an exper rider, but as you said, being an expert racer is different. With the right training, it shouldn't be that hard for you to get there. Hit me up and we'll do some DH rides!

exactly. I could keep up with a lot of the expert guys, but racing is a whole different game. gotta have your head in the game, and mine is only there about half the time.

    2 podiums. 1 5th, 1 3rd. then I've had a few 6/7th, and lots of like 12-19th. If I don't crash, I do well. If I crash, it's usually hard, and I get bottom 10.

not scared, but the numbers don't lie. I need better consistency before I move up IMO.
