A picture I took at the rampage... I have tons more that I have to go through, but I really like this one. The rampage was just plain awesome to see live.

I personally liked Gee's run the best also, and wouldn't mind if they quit building stuff. It was still fun to watch and I agree on the top 3...maybe just not the order. I guess I'm not the slopestyle type. Mad props to Zink for giving her another go after that shoulder slam...ouch.

I think if the Claw hadn't bobbled, his run would have been even closer to Gee's.

Tough event to judge for sure.

When I first got to the rampage friday I saw a familiar face trying to avoid rampage police

Redbull was being pretty strict with where people were. I met people from str that I have never met before, really cool individuals that I got to ride with on saturday. (didn't ride with gabriela I think her name was, met her in line at sol foods.)

Were you hanging out with Jun on along ridge one? I might have met you guys shortly while hiking up the hill. I had the camera's strapped to my side with my buddy James shlepping my tripod and extra gear.

    Great photo...lol NOT!!

Ya that's Gabby, she isn't on STR, don't let her beauty fool you :) she's a teamate of mine and she can ride DH better than any guy I know, she's training hard and planning to hit most of the WC races next season.

The riding was great! both watching it and riding Bunker Creek in Brian Head. Got to meet and ride with some really cool people.

Making the trip out to watch these fearless athletes do what only a few can do is something I suggest everyone try and do once in person, it's pretty freaking incredible ..

Something I learned ~ They hike for their DH and freeride, no heli's taking them to the top..It was really cool to see guys hiking with their bikes held above their heads on skinny little ridges...
What these guys do, I just can't find words for! Glad the pictures say it all.

I was there to see Athertons run, it was an incredible run with the speed he was carrying. I was right by the drop he took that ended with the wall ride, it was freaking sick.

    Our Mini Honeymoon

The new wife and I didn't have a whole lot of funds to take a trip after our wedding a couple weeks ago & we had discussed Rampage back in 2008 but something else came up. We decided this year would be a good time. We took 5 days and made a couple other stops on the way out and back. Some serious fun was had by our little group including a little detour to Brianhead for a ride. I'll keep the write up short since it's not a RR.

I really like the couple of videos following riders from the very top. It's a little shacky since it is a 8x zoom on a point and shoot, but it sure gives some great perspective of the crazy lines these riders take.

Videos are taking some time, so I'll get to them tomorrow.
