i just tried on my new oakley alloy's i picked up from pricepoint, size xl (36 waist) and i swear they are not a 36! there is plenty of room in the legs and pockets, but i feel like they are really tight to pull up past the widest point of my thigh/hip area...once they get past that area they fit pretty good though...anyone else run into this problem with their oakley shorts?

I've been looking at getting a set of those (also in 36), but thought that they looked like they'd fit weird. I'll have to try some on before I buy them.

Oakley's are my fav's. I have some Alloys but I don't like those as well as the higher end ones. They seem to run a little big for me but I'm a toothpick.

I just got the Alloys myself and I love them. I guess it's all personal taste. I was a little concerned b/c Oakleys have always ran tight from what I heard. But my buddy, of course 150 lbs and a 30" waist, said that they improved them by making them wider. He is very close with the Oakley Corporate ppl. and riders. It just fits me like a baggy Large, not the XL size that I ordered. I am usually an XL with plenty of room. Beware I guess. I took a shot when I saw the Pricepoint pricing and got lucky.

Not that you guys are wearing the women's shorts, but they don't fit that great either. Most other shorts are consistent in size, but the Oakleys are always off, no matter which style.

And that's not limited to shorts; it applies to shoes, shirts, pants, etc.

yea, they're super tight to get one since they don't have zipper.. once they're on tho, they're pretty comfy.

::wipes forehead:: glad to hear im not alone on this one! like someone said, i took a stab in the dark when ordering them from pricepoint without trying them on...they do feel/fit great once i shimmy into them, they just dont seem to stretch at all along the waist band when pulling them up.

ironically one of the truest fitting pairs of shorts i have are some Performance brand ones...they are actually a bit too big (the xl).

Hmm, I love the Oakley shorts I have (2 pairs). One has the chamois built in, which I'm not too keen on (I may end up just cutting it out entirely), and the other pair has the chamois buttoned in, so it easily comes out. But, even as a chick with hips, the Sm's fit way better than Fox baggies (built in chamois) in say a 28 or so. Maybe that's Mens XS?

Oakleys stuff always seemed to fit weird... Like Lee said, that goes for anything Oakley makes besides maybe their glasses...

I wish they would be a little more consistant in sizing...

    Ditto....

Yeah, Oakley makes great mountain bike shorts, but they are not consistent in sizing....as a former O'er, I know this all too well.
I bought two pair of the same shorts, just in different colors...and the fit on them was completely different! I ended up giving a pair to a buddy, b/c they were so far off.
But if you get a pair that fits you right....I think they're the best mountain bike shorts out there.....by far.

This is the exact reason I don't buy clothing online w/o trying them on first...I hate having to return stuff

    Hey Scottie, what up?

You're right, compared to a pair of O shorts I got several years ago, I just don't seem to like anything else. Unfortunately, I noticed the shorts recently suffered a blow-out in the rear.

yup,i took a risk with these. im just gonna keep them, i dont wanna haggle with returning them to pricepoint and have to pay the shipping cost to return them and then pay again to have the bigger size sent.

No kidding...if lycra fits me, it'll fit anyone.

I used to wear the baggies for years...I have at least 5 pairs of Oakley baggies...but my riding started to look more like training, I was tearing up my legs and being generally uncomfy.

Since I'm very secure in my sexuality, I can rock the superman costume without thinking twice.:bang:

I don't need the lifted F-250, tribal tattoo, goatee, baggy shorts to be...8)

    Thanks Padre!
