Though the trail could use some cleaning up, I'd totally ride that.

Dean, I love you and I only say that to a few guys on here...mostly from outside their windows as they're sleeping (unaware of my existence). But you, you are special - to you I say it in this forum. Take me riding!!

I agree, the water crossing where his back wheel slipped out was a bit harry.

Uhhh, no. Not without a parachute. Here's a question - why are they wearing helmets?

With no exposure, the trail is a little like Trabuco - unstable surface with your wheels dancing off the loose rock and constant possible pinch flats. With that exposure - a mistake, a flat or just a little bad luck means certain death. The thing is, it's not even in their hands - loose rock is unpredictable and out of their control. Russian Roulette. So, do they have wives and kids?

Thanks for posting. I'll go change my shorts now.

Actually that trail thread reminded me of sections of Strawberry Peak Trail before they sanitized it around 2005. You get used to riding trails like that if you ride them often. Strawberry was very popular before 2005, many were very upset they made the ride easier. I would ride it being walking sections like after he passed the couple of hikers and that water crossing. Fish eye lenses on GoPro's makes trails look narrower than they are.

Yep, Strawberry Peak, Gabrielino, Middle Merrill, Mt. Wilson trail, Chantry and the Rim trail all have killer exposure.

That trail was pretty constant pitch, I bet it is a water line. Just do not look down too often and you will be fine. My trouble is if I was there I would be looking down the entire time, I would not want to miss seeing that wicked gorge.
