I'm down for this. Hopefully this will be the OC ride that doesn't kill me and stomp my self-esteem into a gooey paste...

How long is the ride? I'm still a noob and usually do the Fullerton Loop but I'm really curious about this one. How does it compare?

The Oaks ride from The Path is very similar to the loop. It's right around 20 miles, a little pavement, and lots of dirt. The actual trails at Oaks are nothing like anything you'll get on the Fully loop though. A bit more technical, and lot's more FUN!

You should join them, it's a great group to ride with.

A bit more technical and lot's more fun is spot on. I couldn't imagine a better group of guys to have with me on this one. I'll be back for sure - but next time I'll finish it!

I'm fairly sure we're hitting Whiting to The Luge.
I just got the e-mail from Brian, so it should be on their blog tomorrow.

I'll be sweeping, so no one has to worry about being "fast" on the climbs! :bang:

I live right by the Whiting trail head, is it possible to meet up with the group there instead of at the shop? TIA.

same here. What time will you all be at the trailhead? I'm thinking about doing this, but theres a LOT of climbing involved and I'm just getting back into riding. Short story: my legs aren't used to the kind of climbing that Mustard and STT offer! I will probably die.

I might join in on this one, depending on how things go at work.

And who knows? This might be the Maxwell ride I actually survive! (^_^)v

Oh, and howmuch climbing is there? I've never been to Whiting/Luge before.

Hey guys, I figure if we meet at The Path, at 8, and roll out of there by 8:15, we can plan on meeting across the street at The Outback parking lot between 8:45 & 9am. I'll be in a white Ford Escape, with the Konas on the back.

And I'm the sweeper, so, no one has to worry about a hammer fest.

Here's the route from Geoladders; http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=1761

You'll be fine. Come join the FUN!

Lacey asked me to go to church with her in the morning, so I'm out.
I'll call Sanjay tonight from work, and verify the meeting spot for the ride, then post it up tonight when I get home.

Bummed I'm going to miss it, but, family comes first!

    Have a great ride!

I talked to Sanjay, and he and Rabi will head over to the Outback lot like I mentioned. Keep an eye out for the Path jerseys if you're planing on meeting them there.

    Have FUN!
