So as some of you may know I am getting a Specialized Demo 8. But the desire for more than one big bike is hard to resist.. So I thought I'd consider another Chumba in the future. Not too soon- but it will be in the back of my mind. :)

As far as I understand this will be the new Chumba F5.. although a great color I am not too fond of the black outlining around the Chumba on the downtube. Also it seems to come in a build kit now.

This is all I know so far, but from the looks of it- this bike may end up in my room sooner than I think. :-k

    haha yeah..

I was considering this bike before the Demo 8 but price was what ultimately helped me decide on the Demo. But you can bet I'll be getting The F5 anyways! maybe try to put a motor on it.

A motor wouldn't do it any good. You can't get any faster.

who said need? I meant I want more than 1 big bike. haha might even have 3. A single speed and DJ/4X will be ahead of the second DH bike though so all is well planned

I'd second the desire for a 4x bike but besides Fontucky I don't think there are many other courses and most of the bikes are WAAAYYY beyond my skill level. It would be fun though.

Dwlink is better if you have to pedal, but the chumba is so fast you never need to.

I wouldn't put a King HS on anything over 5" travel. Mine is coming off the El Guapo and onto the rigid bike.

    ..

    Hey Rob,

What's your reasoning for that? As far as I know, Ted has been running King headsets on all of his DH bikes for over ten years.

It's actually 145mm, but 10mm is taken up by the floater.

Do you know something no one else does? Please share!

I suspect that the photos of the green F5 don't do the color justice. That must look sweet out in the sun.
