    I have been there........

I LOVE working on bikes and one time my pride was getting the best of me with a drl issue. Spent hours on it :-(

Then the PRO at the shop took 10min to solve a fix the problem.

Finally got my ride over to the shop. Found out my front chain ring was toast. Also learned that my free hub is just about gone. Fixed the chainring, now I just need to find a new set of wheels. Anyone looking to off lead a set of 26" wheels?

Thanks to The Path Live Oak for the fast and informative service!

You have a freewheel? Or free hub? Normally, freehubs can be cleaned so the pawls can grab rather than slip. Unless you've been skipping gears for months. In which case, don't rule out a service kit.

Yep, sorry, free hub. They replaced a worn bearing and said the rest needs help. I have a fulcrum hub, I'll look around for a service kit.

But to be honest my wheels are pretty crappy so this might be the sign it's time to upgrade.
