Midweek Rides Pay Off! Goodness Gracious Gina!

36 miles today. I guess the mid week rides have paid off. Both of us felt really good today. Couldn't make the full Imperial ride because we have an engagement tonight. But Gina managed to "CRUSH" her Strava PR times!

Actually she set a total of 15 PR's today!

Of course Aimee is a strong rider so at the end of the ride, we unleashed her. She sprinted off to test her legs. Gina usually gassed by this point but she said let's go! So we did! Couldn't keep up with Aimee but she gave a good TT effort which is very rare this point in the ride. So yeah, the midweeks are paying off, and how!

Did run into Mark at the coast. Poor guy, looked winded when he pulled up but he deserved it. He made an honest effort into the wind! Plus Louie showed up for a chat. Gave me his number, says he is taking Gina and I out for Lobster at Pala Casino!

Another 45 miles today. Felt very windy and a longer easier pace today. Needed it, the girls were felling it today! OK, me too!

Another freakin' bee sting to the face. At times I get the all joyful bee sting 3 times within 2 months or so. I swell in the area where I get stung so I now carry Benedryl and hyrdo cort cream for immediate application. I can ride with 10 people and the bee will pick me out, no matter what colors I wear. :-(

Another midweek 11 miles up to 24th St. I wanted to go super slow to relax the legs but Gina just rolled right up the hill. Good because we have a short ride planned up Mt Baldy Rd on Thurs. Only to Shinn Rd but that's steep enough ha ha! I don't know what they put in that sandwich but I need to get her another one for Thursday ha ha! Midweek gentle climbing rides seem to working as planned!
