Disregurd I WILL be heading up to Mammoth on 13 Sept, just wondering if anyone is interested. I'm not a fan of riding alone. no broken thumb will keep this guy from fulfilling a dream :bang:
i was thinking about taking a 1/2 day friday at work, drive up friday, bike saturday and leave sunday. that's if i can get a 1/2 day of work which i'm pretty sure i'll be able to get. i found a few somewhat less expensive motels ( under $100/night.) on priceline.com for 2 nights. I'm guessing not to many trails will be open but I'm okay with that

Do you have a tent? just camp out in old shady or new shady campgrounds for $20/night. there's flush toilets and if you must shower and don't like roughing it, head over to the RV park and bring some coins for their showers. You'll save heck of a lot more $$$ and it's way more cheapo and fun. the campgrounds are in town so access to food and anything else will be the same as the econo-cheapo places. on that note, i'll be going 4th of july weekend though and camping out.
June 15th sounds interesting. A couple of us are planning a trip there but there is no set date as of yet.
Disregard all, Found out the lifts for biking won't open till the following weekend I won't be able to get the time off for it. Hopefully July 4th..or end of Sept.! That will be my next opportunities to take time off

Well worth the 12year wait!!! and the icing on the cake, buddy's friends cousin works at the mountain.. FREE ticket!!!!!! Can't wait to make the trip back out again next year!
