Jeans are good enough for about half of the BMX racers out there. But those BMX racers aren't pedaling sitting down, either. Heck, pick up some $10 Dickies.

I'm sorry, brother, but if you wear those, you're riding solo.

Thank God I own two bikes. Looks like the DHR is staying home this time. After two weeks at the shop they have discovered that the Marz shock they ordered will not fit the frame. A little late to do anything about it now.

    Whew...I feel better now.

Upper trailhead right off Highway 395 on Rock Creek Raod, a (1/4 mile below Tom's Place), then Paradise for lower parking.

If we climb we park on the second trail crossing on Rock Creek Road.

they've gotta be pretty baggy to work. If you have some dickies, I've had good luck with them. still denim, but much better breathing and less restrictive (unless you're saggin with them)

I don't think so, but I suppose it is how hard you ride and how often you find yourself upside-down in the rocks. As my friend Dirty says "you dress for the crash not the ride".

How much bike ride time do you figure for the climb up, and then riding back to the car? Or maybe drive up to Tom's Place, ride down from Tom's Place, then climb back up later in the afternoon, when it's cooler, back to the vehicles?

If you start at the second trail crossing and ride up near Tom's Place. Maybe a little over a hour climb on the pavement and maybe 40 minutes to descend the 6 miles. The bottom section to me is the best section so I am hoping to get a ride back up so I can ride the whole trail.

I got up here in time to make one run from Mid... it was chilly, even at mid. I'd guess around 50 or so. The temps DenMother posted look about right. Who else is here tonight? I'm heading to Gomez's to eat pretty soon.
