The malware warnings always (for me) happen with urls to "pub" and "workshop" although they are called The Pub and The Workshop. Can the moderators create new forums with different urls - like "thepub" and "theworkshop" and move/copy/rename existing posts to the new urls? Of course still use the names The Pub and The Workshop. It won't do much for saved links to old posts but anything is better than what we have now.

It's interesting to see that I'm not the only one getting these warnings. I received the below warning using Firefox when I tried to access the "Workshop".

I got this domain coming up from a Workshop thread. Can you do a grep for hqhrt on the templates and have it removed? I think that's what may be triggering the warning.

Wouldn't it be funny if this thread gave you the malware warning? It seems like I always get it in Pub.

Whats worse is that this thread started on late November 2011 and the constant response is "doesn't happen in Safari" or "changed some passwords because i saw some bot activity on the logs". Wonder how many of us are now drones to a larger collective?

And yet i still can't stay away even after reformatting my drive due to strange svchost warning from my virus scanners. Stopped them now, but, for how long?

I sent a PM to George two weeks ago. I hoped for a response but got none.
    Anyhoo what about this idea?

    Hi George,
The warnings are based on url's that contain pub or workshop. Suppose you rename the directories to newpub and newworkshop and change the top-level forum links to the new directories.

Then make pub and workshop symbolic links to newpub and newworkshop.

Those of us who enter from the Forum page would not get a malware warning.
Those of us with saved links that work (no malware warnings) would not be affected.

this is unfortunate and I have definitely been using the site a lot less due to the warnings I get on Chrome. I like this site, but the last thing I need is a virus to deal with on this computer.
