Never done a forum before. I have been riding for two years and riding buddies are slacking and I am doing more and more solo rides. Prefer to ride in groups for fun and to get pushed. Live in RSM and would like to find some locals to ride Thursday mornings and weekends. Anyone out there looking for another guy to ride with and hang out send me a message.

Oh, great, another Mike : )

A bunch of folks regularly post rides in the Trailhead section of imtbtrails.com. Head over and join up on one, or post one for others to join you. Several active OC riders there, and at least a few in your area. You wanna get pushed, eh?!...we can satisfy that requirement, as long as one isn't too mentally sensitive, hehe...

Cheers and welcome to MTB forums.

Welcome! I can usually get a ride in early Thursdays (When it's not 90 degrees out at 7AM.)

    The mikeist Mike :)

Can you give us an idea of the kind of riding you like to do, and the kind of distance you enjoy?

If you're okay riding with a girlie - I'm free to pedal at weird times. Weekdays usually better than weekends - take the boy to Summit for some jump trains on the hill. Prefer the down to the grind up ;)

Thursday is my normal day off, I usually get a morning ride in. Hit me up if you want to ride Oaks or Aliso.

Lots of us "Mike's" here haha.
I'm in Trabuco Canyon and free Thursday mornings, unless other stuff comes up. I am still getting used to my bike and riding around here in general, but always up to tag along.

Looks like a thurs morning small group ride... Possible Luge next week, 7:30 start? I'm usually a slow climb, but few stops.

We heal people without drugs, cortisone, or surgery. I own a Physical Medicine and Rehab company in Aliso Viejo and am probably one of less than 5 PT's who are owner in a medical company in CA. I happen to be Board Certified in Orthopedics as well. And you?

Me? I'm a graffiti artist. You've probably seen some of my work. But I'm aspiring to be a full time egomaniac.

How did looking for a group to ride with go to - what you are or what you do for work? MTB levels us out there and makes us the same lovers of dirt and nature.

ugh... thought STR had a chance...

Is it back-bay road or luge tonight? Thought it was a 'light' demo for Luge? Went for a paddle this morning, thinking maybe a ride tonight - was amazing out.

I am doing OC very soon. Last week I left my off site work at 2pm and it took 2.5 hours to get home. So I am going to be riding instead unless my company puts me up and my boss is CHEAP. Chances of that are slim so maybe I will ride the Luge (both ways) with lights. Is it open at twilight? Can I park near the bottom? I do not do pavement except short jaunts.

Open all night; park at Cook's Corner, a short jaunt down the hill from where Luge hits Live Oak Rd.

Not much bad road riding to do the loop, just a short bit on Santiago Cyn from Cook's to Mojeska Grade, then chill pavement from there on up to STT.

    Enjoy...

Yes the Luge is legally accessible at night. Don't recommend pedaling up it, miserably difficult for most and a head collision would be bad, blind turns etc.
Asphalt...yes we park at Cooks corner which yields about 1.8 miles to trailhead. However, after the first mile it turns off to Modjeska Grade with mostly no traffic. To be fully transparent, the last mile of ride is a 35 mph+ Asphalt descent. Strength in numbers, you'll be fine.
    Have FUN.
