These stories are making me feel better I was think 4 weeks off the bike and then just short rides for another 4 weeks. I am going to do nothing this weekend and really take it easy for 2 weeks to give things time down there.

If you are one of the 2%'ers like I was, it will 2 weeks max before you can take a easy ride again.

I felt so good the next day I took a drive with my wife up to see friends in Sequoia. I spent the next week sore and tender as hell not to mention looking like I had a grapefruit hanging down there. Not fun, not pretty.

Ended up eating extra vacation/sick days from work and really regretting not taking the advice of those who had been before me and to just sit and ice it for a couple of days.

Are you referring to riding the wife or the mountain bike? Cause, different timeframes for each...

I find both enjoyable and know the answer to the first. I was more worried about the saddle pressure. I am going to give a good 2 to 4 weeks and let my nuts be the guide when it is to soon or to long.

Don't we need an "all male forum" to discuss this? ;)

    ^^^Nothing is sacred.

I played hockey two weeks after mine (doc even seemed to think I'd be ok) and I pulled the stitches out...and I had to go back in for more stitches. More of a PITA than actual pain, but IMHO let 'em rest as long as you think you can and then add a week.

Feels like you got kicked in the balls huh? I was riding again within a week. Just try a gentle short road ride first like aroud the block and then build back up into it. Bumps hurt more so no trails for a week but the saddle compression on the huevos is what hurt the most.

Never done flow drop and when I go ride Mammoth, I will specifically ask where Flow Drop is so I can stay away

I rode after 7 days, per doctors orders. It was a mistake. Started thinking about what they did and the incision, and got a little woosy going up the hill and blacked out!!

    Wait a couple weeks.

you're not kicking the boys out, just locking them in their room and nailing the door closed.

or no additional kids. helps eliminate "surprises"

Never wanted kids and was going to do it at age 21 but never got around to it until my 40's.

I knew guys that did it right away at 18 so they wouldn't have to use a condom & would never have to worry about being a daddy.

Well, AIDS came and changed that a few years later. Then again, not being able to add to the gene pool was probably the best decision they ever made.

At home lap top on my lab and some peas in my pants. It was not that bad and I will wait three weeks to ride and then let my body tell me what is to long.
