Yep, we called it good at two nippers, and I got snipped yesterday...

doc said "medically" wait a week, but that he'd suggest two..

anyone have experience with this want to chime in?

My wonderful wife has waited on me hand and foot for the last 24 hours, serving up the margaritas, and great meals... god bless her..
    i just HATE sitting around.
I heard horror stories from a couple buddies that got active too quick, so I thought I'd be chill... two weeks tho???

I mowed the lawn at 1 week and it hurt that night but not injured just sore. I rode at 2 weeks, easy ride and it was ok. A little discomfort but wore two pairs of spandex to keep the boys in place. Let pain be your guide along with your doc's directions.

2 Weeks. Better to heal properly than rip stitches, get infected and cause further issues. Sometimes, you just gotta take the down time for your own good.

Indeed.......I still had random pains here and there well after 2 weeks. The healing process is worse than the actual procedure.

I'd wait 2wks for an easy ride and a month to get back to norm. I only say this because I got a little impatient after the final loss (1st loss was getting married)(jk) and it took a little longer to heel. Take your time.

I waited two weeks and just did light riding at that point. Wait 3 or 4 for the aggressive stuff. Feel better and take it EASY!

I went golfing after one week and I was in paing and bleeding again. So I woudl suggest a flat board walk ride after one week for about 15 minutes and then stop no matter how you feel. You be amazed at how those boys affect the other muscles.

I didn't have stitches following my procedure (the "puncture" technique) and was told to wait two weeks before getting on my bike. My doctor sited cases where people had over exerted themselves and ended up in the emergency room with a "sack" full of blood

I healed relatively quickly and was up and about sooner than I expected but I'm glad I took the doctor's advice on waiting to ride again. I still had some pain when I finally did get back in the saddle...especially when resting on the nose of the seat during climbs!

Better to wait and get back to riding regularly than ride too soon and set yourself back ;)

pretty sure all us guys would agree that regardless of how bad you want to ride, that is just never an area that anybody wants "complications" in. You readin me?

Take the two weeks and read a book. Less your man-sac be all FUBAR'd with a whole bunch of bad stuff.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.

    1) this post is a perfect example why there should be a male only forum.

    2) i say take it easy. while i cannot speak from experience here's a true story. my boss got snipped. lets just say it appears he did not take it chill and got a nasty infection and was walking around the office like he had elephantitis of the s@ck. pretty embarassing for him, but more for my wife who he later proceeded to tell the whole story with explicit details at the company xmas party after he drank a bit to much.

    3) be glad your not a male dog. a bit more snipping done #-o

I would not ride the bike for at least a week and half.
Also wait about a week before you shoot the gun.
I walked around like an old man for a week!#-o

I'd wait the 2 weeks. What's 2 weeks out of the rest of your life. Plenty of time to ride.

Everybody is different. I had a friend play golf the day after he had it done and later wished he hadn't but it was Torrey Pines, lol.

Me I wasn't riding when I had it but no way would I have even thought about it for the first 2 weeks. I'd say 2 weeks minimum.

You'll know when you can do it. Sounds like your wide is taking good care of you enjoy it.
