Plan B was put on the table by others and never confirmed by Neil (1x1clyde), the ride organizer.

Anyone who has ever organized or led a ride/event will understand why this postponed. Neil made the right call.

Wonder if it is too late to organize a trailwork day?
Seems lots of folks might have a clear calendar ;)

GEEZE! Quit your whinning and go for a ride in a park that WILL be open this weekend..
For the RECORD, Neil was coming to Big Bear ride or no ride, just after the ride..He did not postpone the ride because he wanted to snowboard, he postponed it because the trail he had planned the ride on is and will be closed on Sat because it's STILL too WET!....I'm actually the one who choose not to ride my bike at all and go snowboarding instead.

Like Gene and Waldo said, many of us have lead and organized BIG multi level STR rides (if you've been around for anytime you'd know that) usually these are well thought out for everyone to enjoy, not thrown together for us to leave a few here and there left behind...

Why am I typing this and not Neil??Because he's out at the loop riding with his friends just like I hope most of you will be doing on Sat. Maybe just not with 100 of your closest ;)

ps..If it still bugs you then organize another ride for Sat, I know at least 80+ people who are looking to ride dirt Sat morning.

Nice thought, but these trail work events in the parks have to be cleared by the rangers, unless you're a TAV/park volunteer.

That is what I was really looking forward too - was thinking you might even have to go up the hill to the bench to get a wide enough shot for the group.

I gotta admit, it would be kinda funny if instead of 100 people, we end up with 99 people at spot B....with everybody except 1x1Clyde!

Geez. I remember being new and all to riding a bike in the dirt but its not the end of the world if you have to ride alone this Saturday. Realistically 100 riders of various skill on any socal trail means more walking than riding. I was just looking forward to the beer afterward. I'll get my dirt fix before and after.

CORBA is doing trailwork in the Santa Monica Mountains... extra tools available! :)

I was bummed about missing the group ride because of the trail work, so maybe I'll get to do both now.
