Hi, my name is Stefan and I'm from Munich. I'll do a bike trip to CA in September and I'll stay for four weeks. Plan is to fly to San Francisco and ride to Los Angeles by bike only. It will be my first time in the US. I'll take my enduro with me and I want to ride as many trails as possible. On my list are the popular spots like Santa Cruz, San Juan Trail, Monterey, Camp Tamarancho. Which spots are also "must rides" on my route and what else do I definitely have to see? Like bike shops, other sights and everything else. Maybe someone of you want to ride with me some of the time? Would be great! That' all for now... as you enter the central coast the poison oak becomes king. This continues all the way from Monterey to Santa Barbara. Make sure you have a good heavy detergent soap to wash off the PO oils, and try not to crash. Once east of Santa Barbara the climate gets better and the PO only grows on the north side of the mountains. happy trails on the Ca coast
