Yes. Some stores do sell them. Not this particular brand but I have seen them. http://www.xs-drive.com/
thanks for the link! I was also considering maybe purchasing a subnotbook like an eeepc or something. then i could have another computer and one that runs linux. I kind of have this secret desire learn about linux and play with it. The 7" one is like 400 new... hmmmmm what to do?
No need to wonder what Linux is like. You can burn a "live" CD or DVD and try it out on the PC you already have. Not that the EeePC is a bad idea; two birds with one stone...
There are several devices that do exactly what you need. http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?...cessories&cat3=Portable Photo Storage Devices
Plenty of distro packs you can download and install on your PC. If you have enough HD space, you can dual boot. I'm running Fedora at home and it works fine. Many others here run different flavors and love it.
does anyone know if the eee pc either running linux or xp, can you use the "zoom" feature like one a mac? I don't have the best eyes and if it did that would make me buy one right now. Even if i could put an app on the machine that would be awesome!
Can anyone recommend a good resonable price (perfer free) 2D or 3d mechanical design cad software? Thanks. -FYM
I think linux has a open source AutoCAD knock off. Are you linux savvy? Try sourceforge.net. I am anti pirating these types of programs, but, what about autoCAD student version from the bay?
Gonna make you happy... Old, but I saw it for the first time today. It starts to get funny at around 1:00.
OMFG, Blizzard and Activison have merged. PLEASE don't kill Diablo III http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/07/09/1418227&from=rss
LOLOL! Okay Katonk...a little behind times...the merger was actually announced months ago! It's just finally official now. Activision is smart enough to know not to mess with a good thing, so you have nothing to worry about. Despite the merger, Blizzard is staying pretty much independent, and unless we want to start a war with the fanboys and the country of South Korea, Diablo III and Starcraft II will remain untouched. The actual merger was with Activision and Vivendi (which owned Blizzard), but judging from the company's new official name, you can guess what the whole point of the merger was. As for Vivendi's stuff, I'm just hoping we'll do something with the Leisure Suit Larry franchise! I love that guy!
F-in rad, had to keep watching to see where it would end up. A better title is "how to spend your grant and scholarship money" no hate though that was incredible.
