I ran Northridge today from the Brea side and noticed that there are new signs up. At the beginning, there is a sign in the middle of the trail that says "Not a through trail." Then just before the washed out section there is a sign(again right in the middle of the trail) that says "trail closed." On the other side of the washed out section they have the same two signs posted. I don't think the whole trail is actually closed, I think they are just trying to warn people about the washed out section. Funny thing is by the time I was running back down, someone had already removed two of the signs from the posts. Overall the trail's not in bad shape. It is getting overgrown and is turning into a single track, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah, I also saw those today. From my understanding, they are only warnings.

I was with 3 friends and we climbed Northridge>Down McDurmott (then cut to the single track by the tower)>Four Corners>Up Sycamore>Down Northridge

Everything was in very good shape today, even Sycamore. Don't miss out on this park before the Summer. The weather is nice right now. But it gets super hot up there during the Summer, as there is very little coverage to shade out the trails.

I rode it a few weeks back. It's a little overgrown, but very ridable.

If you are planning to ride CHSP from the Brea side, I would change plans. I just received a text and VM (OC Alert) notifying me there is a brushfire Burning right now 1 mile east of the Carbon Canyon entrance.

Nice size plume of smoke coming over the hills as I was driving home. : ( I swear, that place burns down every year, it's no surprise.

That is for Carbon Canyon Regional. Chino Hills is a State Park. However I don't think CHSP was damaged as the fire was North of Carbon Canyon Rd. I checked the website and the phone # and neither have been updated since May 19th.

    Chino Hills SP closed midweek

I road CHSP today, Monday. Before the entrance coming from Carbon Cyn Regional, I saw a sign saying that the park is closed Tues to Thurs. I remember reading last year that this was going to happen at some Cal State Parks. I guess it finally did!!
