This is what I ended up getting. $6 at Lowe's and it's specifically made for bike hanging. It directly mounts to the wall.

It can be mounted using the 2 holes in the bracket instead of mounting to the rail. I just made sure I hit a stud in the wall or use a drywall type anchor.

Lowe's and HD both carry something like this bike hanger.

Yes, this particular hook has more than enough clearance for the handlebars...

Actually, Lee, it looks like the entire wheel has been swiveled around backwards.

Do you mean as in having the rotor on the opposite side of the caliper (wheel installed backward)? Could be, but I think I see a rotor on the caliper side, but I can't really tell. Note that the caliper is on the left side of the bike, so the fork is pointing forward.

Also note the more obvious signs, the lowers. The arch is in the front. The only major manufacturer that has them in the rear by design is Manitou. Another dead give away are the pinch bolts for the 20mm axle. They are also in the front as can be found on most, if not, all forks.

Good catch on the backwards tire Lee. I see that so often on peoples' bikes. If you can see the front caliper, you got quite a pair of eyes there my friend. The only indication I can see is the brake line routing.

the nevy worked better backwards, plus the rolling is so bad on that tire that it doesn't get any worse backwards.
