Then why all the calls from so many people to "fix" it? In my mind, that's no different than cutting a switchback because someone feels that it is too technical. Weird.

    That sucks! Speedy recovery vibes.

I really hope people decide to leave the hump alone. If you must, put up warning signs, but there are a lot of people who probably enjoy it the way it is.

On the topic, I thought this trail was closed. Someone said there were signs up a couple months ago so we've been avoiding it.

I agree - the hump is really no big deal as long you don't try to intentionally or unintentionally try to jump it.

I ride it about once a week and I've never seen any signs. It's a fun, gentle trail that I take my girls to often. Wonderful singletrack and amazing views. My fingers are crossed that it stays off the radar.

Out of respect for keeping it off the radar, I won't post the pics I just took of the hump. I did measure the hill leading up to it is about a 7% grade and the hump sites at about 4' and better than a 50 degree ramp.

In any case, no need to rip it down, but a word of caution (and one that applies on every trail--sorry to be preachy) to ride with care and caution--especially on new-to-you trails.

I probably have gone over that hump at least 30 times, but the very first time I hit the hump I was in dream land and took a nasty spill.

My buddies said I looked liked Evil Knieval after he landed the jump at Ceasers Palace.

My neighbor hits the hump at full speed and its a sight to see him fly on a bike as far as he does.
