We were riding SART this weekend from South Fork to the bottom including the single track from Morton Peak. When we got to the restaurant there were a lot of emergency vehicles and eventually a helicopter came in a airlifts someone out off of mailbox. Any idea what happened to the rider? As for SART the first half was great (no complaints anywhere and the weather was perfect) but the second half was pretty dry and loose and very overgrown especially on the bottom.

This time of year that lower section below Morton Peak gets loose and dried out. Just look at the southern exposure, that section of trail gets blasted by the sun from sun up to sun down. The only respite is when you drop onto the northside of the peak 1/4 way down. It's a fun trail when there is a bit of moisture in the soil.

You're close by, you should try it again when we get some rainfall
