Yep, private. But unfenced. Most of it is rugged never used territory. I see possibilities......

This hole thing is driving me crazy!
Five or maybe 6 yrs. ago I bought a $5,000.00 membership to this resort because it was perfect for the family. Had or has great potential I always thought. Then due to the economy, and also the first owner was a irresponsible crook, the place went bankrupt.
It took 2yrs. before the bank finally sold it again, in the meantime I choose to still pay monthly dues. New owners bought it and to my relief they still honored or membership. Of course the original contract was void. We still get all the amenities just can't sell it later.
Lot's of work on the place was being done and we were all happy, then word of the bike park, if it wasn't already a nice place now it was perfect.
I have met Shannon Decker and talked extensively about the park, and have seen all the work being done. Good things are happening but. I was riding in the area last Sunday, I ran into a buddy who lives in that valley and he said the Grill has shut down due to lack of funds. So now I need to get my butt up there again to see what is going on. What a roller coaster ride I have been on with this hole project.

    Thanks for that, nice find.

I don't know, looking at the photos it looks as though they are doing a fair amount of work. Nice jump line, the rock garden and stair steps (if they leave those exposed) all look doable for any level of rider yet fun enough for any level of rider who does not need the "GNAR" to be satisfied.

Am I the only one that looks at the pics and vids and thinks it doesn't look that fun?

it looks like southridge, but flatter. bumps for the sake of having bumps, jumps because you can, and heck, lets toss in a bunch of logs across the trail?

I hope I'm wrong about that though...

I have ridden some of the trails and believe me it's not going to be that easy, some of it is down right ridiculous. The lines have to be hit perfectly. The pics never do it justice.

I look at the pics/vids as "The Beginning" of what it will be and it looks to be a good start. If they leave it at that then yeah, it will get very boring for most riders pretty quick. What they do not mention is the length of the course, I would hope what they are showing is a very small portion (maybe I am just being a bit optimistic :?: ).

Yes that is just a small portion of the course as the rest is still being built. Shannon also told me that the XC will be an on going project with miles of ST.

So I take it you are in contact with Shannon? :?: There's lots of folks that have tried to contact him to no avail. Do you know when he is going to need help?

I'm just hoping that the entire trail isn't going to be a bunch of sections like that with some singletrack linking them. I'm gonna reserve judgement until I've seen a complete trail (and ridden it), but I was just sayin it looked like it could be gnarlier.

and like denmo said, do you know how to get ahold of people? I'm not particularly local to the park, but I wouldn't mind making the drive for an odd saturday to help build/test :)

    bike park

I will try to get up there this week to see what is going on and find Shannon. I will ask him what is up on getting ahold of him so he will know that people are interested.
