The votes are in, and we have a winner...

    Just in time for Christmas!

Wondering where you can wrap up your holiday shopping and make room for all those new goodies Santa is sure to bring? Well wonder no more, folks--the STR Swap Meet is back!

    When: Sunday, December 20th, 2009
    Where: Fullerton Courthouse
    Time: 9am

So, bring some cash and/ or anything bike related you'd like to unload to the SW corner of the lower lot, and let's deal!

Feel free to post up what you're looking for or have to sell--that should help generate interest and hopefully get more stuff sold :bang:

Hope to see you there. It's always a good time!

Oh, and we'll be set up at the classic start of the Fullerton Loop, so be sure to bring your gear and enjoy a ride while you're there

Right on, RL! Haven't seen you in forever. I don't think an RSVP is necessary, but the event is on the calendar just the same.

By far the biggest complaint about the (most recent) swap meet was that vendors were too spread out! People were selling in every corner of the parking lot! #-o

Suggestion: If you're NOT selling, you may want to avoid parking in the (SW) corner of the lower lot! Not having to walk an entire parking lot should make shopping much easier...

good call. people with lots to sell should be in the corner. people just browsing should park in the other area.

also, can we get an ATM next to Pato's booth this time around?

I'm horrible when some one says north, south and such. So can some one tell me exactly where the sale will be in the parking lot?

According to this photo, will it be on the Red, Green or Orange?

South west could also mean to the left of the red circle (that would be more west). I have no idea what was meant by SW cornerf.

Me either. Could you define "cornerf," please?

The green circled area has been the classic center of our event in the past.

The only problem with the green circle is that that's the area where most of the people riding the loop park. The red area or a little to the upper-left of it might make more sense as that area of the parking lot is usually empty.

As for goodies, I'm looking for a front hub that can be converted to 9mm thru-axle (Hadley, Hope, etc), maybe a new stem, carbon bars...

    Good point Magna! :-k

Truth of the matter is we have plenty of places to set-up...
    1. Orange (unofficial location... compact area... easy to walk... may complicate things for riders)
    2. Red (pato set-up in this area... away from those riding the loop... away from the driveway/entrance)
    3. Upper lots (isolated... neighbors may object to the crowds)

Once an area has been 100% chosen, feel free to delete this post.

Again, the area mentioned has served us well in the past--partially for the very reason you stated. No reason to think it won't continue to do so. Also, that lower section is basically self-contained, and will help us in keeping our profile and impact as low as possible.

How many people usually show up? I'm wondering if it's worth the drive from Ventura county to sell some stuff and buy some stuff...

EDIT: I will have a Morewood DH bike, Shova frame, Outlaw wheelset, other various parts, and probably some older wheels for sale. I will be looking for tools (including a Pedros Rock Stand + base), welding/brazing equipment, and random parts that catch my interest. This is of course assuming I go.
