11-32 + 42T chainring vs 11-36 + 44T chainring..noticeable in climbing?

    SEMI-TECHY EDIT: It may help you to visualize that there are many overlapping gear ratios. You don't have 27 different gear combinations, you have about 20. For example, Little chainring (22) and 3rd gear in back (26) is about the same as your middle chainring (32) and the biggest cog in back (34). Varaxis or Bing will probably chime in with complicated gear ratio charts, graphs, diagrams and illustrations, but you now know all you need to know. Go have fun and concentrate on using your middle and small chainrings only, until and unless you are spinning like a madman on level or downhill terrain in your middle ring and feel you need the big ring to put the hurt on someone.
