This was at the start of the Rim Trail and the end of the Jem trail and the fun section. After riding Little Creek all day, lots of climbing was not on my mind. Although never steep or technical, it kept going and going and going, up!
False summit after false summit. Beautiful trail, paralleling the Virgin River. We also spotted the Cannel Trail, which eventually reconnects but runs much lower along the river. Something to scout for the next time.

As the sign reads, 7.3 miles back to trail head and cars. Felt like 7.1 of it was up but it wasn't. I'm just being a puss...

Dean, cow pics. This one was on the trail and giving us a look that made me get off my bike and think of an escape plan. I thought it was a bull but Simon says it wasn't. I'll take his word for it. He/she scattered pretty quickly, one Simon spoke cow talk...

Yea, whats the deal with good food (maybe I haven't found it yet, but I don't think so) in Hurricane? Every time I've been (and I'm going in two weeks), I'm always wishing for better.

    Great RR / Pix everyone!

Thanks everyone for an awsome time. i really enjoyed the riding out there and meeting so many cool, laid back people and really hope we can hit it again another time.
I will post some pictures of you all being bad arses later after I have done a few chores which involve driving the Kneesun.

Damn, you took a lot of pictures Joe!

Even though I did not get to ride Sat. or Sun. I still had two awesome days of riding. Rode Zen and then Barrels on Thurs.. Zen was a lot of fun but I really liked Barrels. The locals have built up some sic drops and gap jumps. A few of them I really wanted to try but I had no pads on or a fullface helmet so I used that as my excuse to wait til next time8-[. Dell hit a nice little drop with about a 15 foot creek gap jump after it. I wish I would of had my camera out to get a shot of it.
On Fri. we hit up Little Creek Mesa and that was a blast. Local Ben was leading us around and showing us all kinds of crazy stuff. Eventually we worked our way over to the Cave Drop. I wanted to try it last year but chickened out. So this time I intended to hit it. But then when I was on top looking down I started to have second thoughts. Then someone said Nick was going to go for it. So he did and it actually looked like a fairly smooth landing. So I was like "crap... I gotta do it now!". The landing was hard and I guess I sprained my achilles because that is where it hurts. It's a lot better now though, at least I can still work.
I know the rest of the gang had a blast on Grafton and that is one of the rides that I really wanted to do. I will just have to wait til next time.
It was a lot of fun hangin' out on the balcony in the evening after the rides, drinkin' some brews and baggin' on each other.

Thanks guys for a great trip! Can't wait til the next one!:bang:

Oh my God!! You people didn't have to be at work this morning? Yikes. I'll post my pictures soon as I get a break at home.

The trip was amazing for me. Great riding with great people to the point of exhaustion. If you haven't rode out on the mesas in Utah, you haven't lived. It's so flowy, fast and fun, and it makes me look like a decent rider. Thanks for the props Joe. I can't see your pictures at work because my school district server blocks them. Lame.

Thanks again for everybody waiting for me. Team Sanchez and you guys were amazing to watch.

    Todd

Considering how bad I sucked at trying to keep up with the guys at Bommer Cyn I'm glad I didn't go. You guys would still be out there waiting for me to catch up.

If Nick can ride all this "sick" stuff on that antique I'm going with the "it's the rider not the bike theory".

That looks like a great trip. I really want to ride The Barrels again. I hit it a couple of years ago and need to get back with a bigger bike, more skills and see all the new stuff out there.

Great job on the photos and stories.

Dang looks like you are using every bit of suspension on this drop, tire and all. Looks like the bash guard is about to hit the ground too.

That's why I bought all that suspension: so my arms and knees don't have to do any of the work. ;)
