So my 12 Hour of Temecula adventure last weekend only lasted for less than an hour. About mile marker 6 just before the return to the aid station I caught a small rut with my front tire and got sent elbow first in to a small hill right in front of me, my elbow took the full impact of the crash. #-o What really sucked is that it was on my first race on my new rig. #-o8 Stitches and a fractured elbow later I am down for a few weeks. O'h well what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger:?: Hoping to be back by Rim Nordic in July :)

I went down on my elbow with pads 5 weeks ago, pretty much the same injury. I ended up getting 6 staples, some chipped bone and a fractured elbow as well.

Let it heal nice and good before you get too crazy on a bike again. Even *if* the Dr. tells you it's okay to ride. I didn't let it heal long enough (4 weeks)and had to visit the ER again this past Sat for 6 more stitches (popped it right back open)..I firmly belive if I had let the wound heal longer I wouldn't have more than a scratch this 2nd time around..

Sucks about your race and sucks your broken! Bike looks good!~ Heal up :)

You need to throw that meat back on the grill. It looks a little too rare for me.

Where was the 'GORE' WARNING!!! :protest::protest:

Heal soon and go buy some armor...but guessing 12 hrs in elbow guards would kinda suck.

Did you finish with the one good left?
