XX 2x10 - can I switch to smaller rings...?

    I am looking at a used bike that has XX 2x10 cranks with 26/39 rings.

    Will my XX cranks be compatible if I want switch them out for the upcoming SRAM 22/36 rings?

    Yes, but you'll probably need to swap out for the smaller spider to accommodate the smaller rings.
