I was thinking it would be fun to have a thread where we can post our X-rays and make others cringe.

From when I broke my clavicle 3-4 years ago. Top one is about two months later after I have been snowboarding again and freaked out the X-ray tech since I had a 10lb weight in my right hand to weight my shoulders and there is nothing connecting the two halves yet#-o

Bottom one was the day I broke it.

Did the clavicle grow together overlapping? That's what's happening to mine. How long did it take to feel "normal" again?

Here's my right wrist from a few yrs back. I was disappointed going through airport security the first time, that this does not set off the detectors. If it had, I'm sure it only would have been cool once! I have a couple screws in my left hand too but they're not really worth posting up.

Nothing makes me cringe more that the thought of screws in bones. It seems like there has to be a better way. Look at the holes those things are making. At least bring it down to a number 6? haha

Anyone have a pic (or two) of their pins/screws trying to push themselves through the skin?

I kept losing my mind. ;)

Actually it's a fusion from a disk rupture....kind of extreme but more common these days(and very successful). Mine was giving me seizures so we went with it... I wore a head brace for 5 months too. (sucked....but part of why I ride conservatively)

Yeah i have bump where it overlapped. Feel normal, I guess depends on what you define normal, I didn't really take any meds beside advil for a week, wore the harness thing for maybe 3-4 weeks all the time and then only when sleeping for another 2 weeks. I would say about 6 weeks i didnt even realize it was broken but like I said the 2 month xray shows no connection yet I was back to doing just about everything i use to beside surfing.

I had to ask my doctors to print mine out. I've heard some won't do it, but my docs have never had a problem.

It's ancient history so no pics. I managed to slide out on my YZ250 and the case came down on my foot. I broke all the bones across the foot. Back then (maybe '84 ?), you only had surgery and screws in the big bones. Bad news for me - one bone healed overlapped. It feels like walking with a marble inside my shoe all the time. It creates massive callouses. I never walk barefooted!

    Bring on the X-rays!
