Clearly needs a life and a lesson on ethics. He gives mountain biking a bad name. Does starting a petition asking him to release that domain sound like a good idea :?: Maybe after we get a ton of signatures, an attorney can also send him a nice email about what defamation, copyright infringement, and cybersquatting really mean.

He sent me an email about a month ago demanding this link be taken down from the homepage. Here are a couple snippets from that email

The blog posts he wrote about this whole deal was also great comedic material. PM me if you'd like to see those screenshots :)

And if we're a "gang" now - I can be g-dawg. If we're also considered a mafia then I'll stick to Godfather. :)

Ok.....I am looking around his website and find his services page.....

Make sure you read #2,#3 & #4. I guess it is the old saying...."Do I as I say, not as I do."

    Come across:

"Web Design / Domain Name Research:
One of the services I provide is domain name research.

Selecting a domain name is one of the most important things you can do to assure a successful business venture on the Internet. A good domain name can be the only difference between you or your competition ranking higher in the search engines. Researching your domain name also helps you understand your competition. Here are some important things you need to know about selecting a domain name.

    • Keep it as short possible and rememberable.
    • Do not select a domain name that can be easily confused with similar names.
    • Do not select a domain name which is already in use with a different extension. (ie, .net when a .com already exists)
    • Always try to get a ".com" domain name.
    • Select a domain name that people can easily spell.
    • Don't use hyphens or numbers in your domain name unless your company name contains hyphens or numbers.
    • A good domain name shouldn't just be your company name, rather, it should relate to your core business offering.
    • Good search engine rankings have a lot to do with domain names. You should try to have one keyword in your domain name that people are likely to use when searching for you.
    • Remember that people who don't know you aren't looking for you by your name."

We are giving him exactly what he wants...ATTENTION...everytime this matter starts to die down something else pops up about it. I say we ignor him and hopefully he will go away.

BTW: I would be happy to sign a pettition though, I just don't want to give him anymore internet time...he certainly doesn't deserve it.

Can we delete this thread? I think this whole deal is a NON-ISSUE. Who cares what that guy thinks. If he wants to bitch about us, let him bitch all he wants. It doesn't accomplish anything on his part. All it does is demonstrate how petty and childish someone is. He insults himself much further than anyway we ever could in this forum. We don't have to listen or talk about him and his issues with STR. Obviously, this is an attempt to draw us out and get us to start talking about him in the forum. This man does not deserve any of our attention. He should not have a soap box to stand upon.
If you happen to come across him on the trails, be friendly and smile knowing for sure that you are having way more fun on that ride than he is.
