Why inverted forks?

    Advantages: Lower unspring weight (this is WAY more important on an MTB due to the fact that the sprung weight of a bicycle is much less than that of a motorcycle)
    They are stiffer (in motorcycles, anyway)

    Disadvantages: Higher overall weight (but most of it is sprung weight)
    stanchions are more vulnerable to trail obstacles (but i've had rocks stick to my tire and come around and hit my domain's stanchions)


    I think Ohlins needs to break into the MTB market, their moto stuff is amazing!

    to bad i was naughty this year..... i say they look awesome. i will check and see how those are doing this winter series and maybe i will get one once i get to test one out...... (anyone from manitou on here? i could use an extra sponsorship to test it out.... i race expert!)

    Honda raced DH for 4 years on the World Cup circuit. They (Minnaar) only won the World Cup points series overall in 2005.

    There were more than 2 bikes built during that time. In addition to their World Cup team, they had development riders in Japan on the bikes as well. The bikes changed from year to year, and it is rumored the earlier versions had some type of CVT transmission and only later went to the "derailleur in a box" version.
