I rode it this past Sunday and thought it wasn't bad. The recent rains really packed it down--though there were some patches of mud/puddles. Much better, IMHO, than what it was when it first opened. I'm just thankful that Whiting/STT/Old Camp/Luge/Cactus/Sleepy Hollow are back! The trails are really settling in nicely and will be PERFECT again soon. I had a huge grin the entire day with my mates Kevinator and Herzalot. Thank you very much to everyone who helped get the trails up and running-- this Bud's for you!

Jim, we (SHARE) had trail maintenance scheduled for Aliso last year and was cancelled due to rain. :?:. We asked if we could still go in durung the closure cause it would be easy to work the soil, the ranger said NO even though he knew we were right. By the time it was re-scheduled, the soil was too dry and didn't hold well and has to be worked again.

It would be up to Park Superintendent to approve going in. I have Ranger Vickie's email and number if you want it.

Send me the info, and I'll see what she says. We've got rain in the forecast from Sunday through Friday of this coming week. (I'll be double-checking the Luge and the STT beforehand to make sure all the drainage is cleared out and ready.) If Vicki's amenable maybe several of us could walk the Park with her to share our ideas?

    Yep this makes no sense.
If we can't logic determines that the trail maintenance crew might be larger... Wassup?
Who can I contact to make a positive impact on this?

I rode Whiting this afternoon, and since I was on my cross bike I had to focus most of my attention on staying upright. But the trails were fast, and it appeared that a lot of work had been done since last Friday. That was encouraging. I sent a message to Ranger Vickie offering to discuss future trailwork, so let's see what happens.
